Our Story

Samya was founded by three individuals, Anil, Pruthvi, and Sreejith, whose paths converged through a shared commitment to reimagining mental health care with empathy, expertise, and lived understanding.

Our story is rooted in a powerful blend of perspectives.
For over 20 years Anil ran his own business in the UK as a psychologist and counsellor, helping individuals, couples, and organisations fostering emotional wellbeing. Anil also is involved with a business that provides wellbeing training to the corporate world.
Pruthvi contributes to the voice of lived experience, shaped by her personal mental health journey and her background in consumer insights, ensuring that Samya truly reflects the needs and realities of those it serves.
Sreejith, both a seasoned operations professional and a dedicated caregiver, offers a unique perspective on support, one grounded in compassion, patience, and practical care.

Together, we have built Samya as more than a platform, it’s a purpose-driven space where psychology, counselling, therapy, and coaching come together to support healing, resilience, and personal growth.

We believe that mental health care should be accessible, inclusive, and human. At Samya, we hold space for vulnerability and strength, for professional guidance and personal connection. Every interaction is shaped by empathy, trust, and respect.

We also believe that support shouldn't feel clinical or cold, it should feel like someone is truly listening.
Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, or simply seeking clarity and direction, we’re here to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.

At Samya, we know that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in community, in safe spaces, and in genuine human connection.
And it’s our honour to create that space with you.

Our Vision

Our vision at Samya

‘Samya’ means balance and equilibrium – a state of personal wellbeing that everyone deserves and where everyone belongs.

At Samya, we believe that mental and emotional health are a fundamental part of a person’s overall wellbeing and should be as easily accessible and affordable as other forms of healthcare. With this belief at our core, our vision is to provide a trusted, accessible platform where individuals can find the emotional and psychological support they need, as and when they need it.

We aim to foster open conversations by connecting people with skilled professionals who offer guidance with empathy and expertise, with a goal to empower individuals to take charge of their mental well-being, build resilience and lead fulfilling lives.

With an intent of breaking communication barriers, reducing stigma around mental health dialogues and putting mental well-being at the forefront, we at Samya, are not just creating a platform but building a movement.

Our Philosophy

Mental Health vs. Mental Fitness
In essence, mental health is a broader term that encompasses the overall state of our mental well-being, including whether we have mental health disorders. Mental fitness focuses on the proactive development of skills and practices that promote emotional resilience. Hence, both concepts are important for overall well-being, and improving mental fitness can contribute positively to mental health.
Intentional mental training can improve your mind’s ability to manage, recover from, and prevent potential mental health challenges like stress, anxiety, and depression.

What Does it Mean to Be Mentally Fit and Why Is it Important?
When you train your body with exercise, it responds by building strength and endurance. The same concept applies to mental fitness. The more you train your brain with the right tools, the better you can recover from, or even prevent, mental health challenges.
Being mentally fit is important for several reasons. It can significantly impact various aspects of your life, including emotional well-being, physical health, self-esteem, relationships, and overall quality of life.
By prioritizing mental fitness, you can reduce your stress levels and better respond to any challenge that comes your way.
